Marketing for UK electricians

Marketing for Electricians in the UK.

Practical marketing for UK electricians. Explain services clearly, show technical work as credible proof and make the next contact step easier.

The gap

The work is safe, certified and done properly. Does your profile say that?

You test, certify and sign off work that most customers cannot check for themselves.

A homeowner comparing electricians online cannot tell a proper consumer unit upgrade from a rushed one. If your profile does not show your qualifications, your process and real jobs clearly, you are relying on them taking your word for it, or word of mouth doing the explaining for you.

Service label vs proof

A service label tells people what you do. Proof helps them believe it.

Both matter. The mistake is treating a list of services as if it already proves experience, relevance or trust.

Service labels

Useful for clarity and search intent

These tell a prospect the category of work you take on. They do not, on their own, show that you have done that work well.

ExamplesDomestic electrician, EICR, consumer unit upgrade.
ExamplesEV charger installation, rewire, commercial electrical work.
What is missingEvidence tied to a real job, location, qualification, review and contact route.
Proof

Useful for reducing doubt

Proof connects the service label to something a real customer can check or understand.

Example structureEV charger installation + real completed job + real town or service area.
Example structureConsumer unit upgrade + job context + relevant qualification or scheme evidence.
Example structureReal job + genuine review + obvious phone, WhatsApp or enquiry-form route.

These are example structures, not client claims. I do not invent qualifications, projects, reviews, results or locations.

Proof of expertise

What stronger electrician proof actually includes

You do not need six new marketing claims. You need six pieces of information attached to the work you already do.

01 QUALIFICATION

Show the actual qualification or scheme evidence

Do not stop at "fully qualified". Use the exact current qualification, certification or scheme membership only where it can be verified.

02 REAL JOB

Show work that actually happened

A real consumer unit job, EICR, rewire, EV charger or commercial job is stronger than a generic claim about quality.

03 SERVICE TYPE

Name the job clearly

"Electrical services" is broad. "Consumer unit upgrade in an occupied three-bedroom home" gives the work useful context.

04 LOCATION

Add the real area where appropriate

A real town or service area makes the proof more relevant to someone checking whether you work near them. Use it only when accurate and appropriate.

05 REVIEW

Pair the job with genuine feedback

Use a real review and keep the source clear. Do not rewrite a weak review into a stronger claim than the customer actually made.

06 RESPONSE ROUTE

Make the next contact step obvious

Phone, WhatsApp or a short enquiry form should be easy to find. If you publish a response time, it needs to be one you can realistically meet.

From being found to being contacted

FIND → UNDERSTAND → TRUST → CONTACT

The strongest page does not make every section sell. Each section has one job in the decision.

01 FIND

Can someone find you?

Can someone searching for an electrician in your area actually find your business on Google and on the platforms they check next?

02 UNDERSTAND

Can they tell what you do?

Can a stranger tell in a few seconds what you do, which jobs you take on and whether you work domestic, commercial or both?

03 TRUST

Can they verify the quality?

Do your qualifications, certification and real completed jobs actually show, or are they mentioned once and forgotten?

04 CONTACT

Is the next step obvious?

Is it obvious how to reach you, and does someone who does contact you get a reasonably quick response?

Where social media fits

Social media should support the trust check, not pretend to replace everything else.

Search, referrals, reviews, your website and your social profiles can all play a part in whether someone contacts you. Social media does not need to be the main way you get found. It can help a prospect check the business after a recommendation or a search result.

SearchHelps a prospect discover or verify the business.
ReviewsShows what previous customers say, with a source they can recognise.
WebsiteExplains services, locations, proof and the next step in more depth.
Social profilesShow recent work, activity, expertise and the people behind the business.
Why trust this approach?

Proof about SGS is labelled too.

I would rather show the evidence I actually have than make a new business look bigger than it is.

Not sure where the gap actually is?

The 10-Minute Trade Marketing Health Check runs through the same FIND, UNDERSTAND, TRUST and CONTACT framework and points you at the weakest one, before you spend anything fixing the wrong thing.

Main paid starting point

Want me to check your business personally?

One-off, no contract. The Sprint is for a wider visibility, proof and enquiry-path review, not ongoing management.

Already know what you need?

The next route depends on the problem.

Do not choose a bigger service just because it is bigger. Choose the one that matches the gap.

Plan

Need direction, not just fixes?

The £249 Custom Social Media Strategy is for audience, platform, messaging, content and measurement decisions.

Questions electricians ask

Before you choose anything

The aim is to make the next step clearer, not to push you into monthly management by default.

Do I need to be active on social media to get electrician work?

No. Social media is one part of the wider trust journey. Search, referrals, reviews, your website and your profiles can all contribute. The useful question is whether your online presence helps or weakens the decision when someone checks you.

How long does the Sprint take?

Delivery is within 5 working days of me receiving your completed information.

Can you guarantee more enquiries?

No. I cannot promise a fixed number of leads or sales. What I can do is review the journey, prioritise the strongest fixes and make the work measurable where the available tracking allows it.

What if I do not have good photos of finished jobs?

That is common and fixable. The first step is to work out what proof you already have access to, what is missing and what should be captured on future jobs. I will not replace missing real work with AI-generated job-site images.

Is the £149 Sprint the same as monthly management?

No. The Sprint is a one-off review, profile rewrite, priority-fix list and 30-day action plan. Monthly management is ongoing work on your accounts, starting at £399/month.
