SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT FOR UK TRADES
I take your marketing off your plate. And give customers a reason to trust your business.
Your work might be excellent. That doesn’t help if the people checking your business online can’t see it. I sort the strategy, the proof and the regular marketing. You stay focused on the jobs.
Four packages from £399/month. Straight answers. Clear responsibilities. No guaranteed lead numbers.
What I'd actually take off your plate.
Send me real job photos, a few facts and your approval. I'll handle the agreed plan, publishing and reporting. You don't need to spend your evenings figuring out what to post.
That's where I come in. I work out what your customers need to see, build a sensible strategy and keep the agreed marketing moving. I don't expect you to spend your evenings writing posts.
About this demonstration: Ridgeway Renovations is a fictional Essex construction business. Its jobs and the report figures are invented to demonstrate the work, not SGS client results.
Look at the sample work, check what's included or ask me about your own business. You can explore all ten stages later.
Even on P01, the starting audit looks at two social profiles. Ongoing P01 management covers just one. The final Service Schedule sets precise quantities, approvals and response cover.
Which jobs do you actually want?
The problem
Ridgeway does kitchen refurbishments and planned renovations. The team takes photos. Nobody has time to explain the projects properly online.
It gets occasional enquiries for small repairs when it wants larger planned jobs.
What I would take over
What I need from the owner
- Genuine photos or raw phone footage from site.
- A few correct facts about each job: what, where, why and what changed.
- Services and areas they want to promote.
- Permission to use the photos and a quick yes or correction on drafts.
What I will not do
Make up a project. Guess technical details. Use a customer's home photos without permission. Promise a number of new jobs just because content went live.
What I'd flag in your starting audit.
I also offer this as a standalone £99 audit. Every monthly package starts with the same review of two profiles. Here's what I'd flag and what I'd do about it.
The wrong description
Example finding: Instagram only says “Quality building work”. No Essex. No kitchen service.
My fix: say what the business does, where and how to enquire.
No proof of recent work
Example finding: Facebook last showed a finished job seven weeks ago, without saying what was done.
My fix: one proper job story with real pictures and details.
Too many contact routes
Example finding: one profile says Messenger; the other links to the general home page.
My fix: give a clear action and test it on a phone.
Fictional findings. See the standalone audit.
Three things I would sort before spending on ads.
FIND
Make “Kitchen refurbishments and home renovations in Essex” obvious on the managed profiles.
TRUST
Show the actual project. The customer's brief. What the builders changed. A finished image and accurate location.
ENQUIRE
Ask for postcode, project type, photos and rough timescale. Nobody can sensibly quote a whole renovation from “how much?”
Your package:
One month. One commercial priority.
Ridgeway wants enquiries about full refurbishments. So I would put the marketing behind that, not spend the month posting random photos.
Who we need to reach
Essex homeowners checking builders for a planned kitchen renovation.
What they need to know
Does Ridgeway do this sort of job? Have they done it recently? Can I trust the work? What do I send before asking for a quote?
What I'll use
Real projects, useful pre-quote advice and one clear enquiry route. No padded calendar. No pretending a like is a sale.
My test: did the right people understand the service, check the work and take a useful contact action? I also need the owner to tell me which enquiries turned into quotes.
Three posts with a job to do.
These look like actual social posts rather than empty graphics. The kitchen photos are licensed stock illustrations, not Ridgeway jobs or SGS client work. For a real builder I replace them with their own photos and raw footage.

Shows the sort of project the business wants more of.
02 Site photos
03 Rough measurements
04 Work needed
05 Preferred timescale
Helps a homeowner prepare and saves repeated questions.

Asks for details before the owner spends time quoting.
Why I'd use it:
If something's wrong, I fix it. No argument.
The draft
Owner's correction: “That's the kitchen, not the whole house. It was Chelmsford, not Basildon. And don't use the photo until the client says yes.”
Who does what
I do: the writing, amendments, layout, scheduling and record of the approved version.
You do: check project facts, customer permissions, technical details and any promises made about the work.
These controls demonstrate an approval flow only. Nothing gets published.
You shouldn't need to chase your marketing.
Find the priorities
Prepare and approve
Publish what is ready
Review and adjust
What if the job is delayed or you're on site? I don't invent progress photos. If I don't have enough approved material, I use another factual topic or move the post. We'll agree response and approval timings before work starts.
Four answers. Not 20 charts.
All numbers below are made up to show how a report works. They are not SGS client results or forecasts.
My decision:
The scope is written down before you sign.
per month. The standard three-month initial term includes setup. A one-month introductory route adds £249 setup, credited on the next invoice if you continue under the agreed terms.
I take care of
I need from you
Not included
All four start with a two-profile audit. We agree exactly how the findings are acted on. No hidden assumption that you get extra channels or unlimited inbox management.
I would rather say no than sell you the wrong package.
First we check the fit
What you build, what work you want more of, who answers enquiries and whether you have photos or footage to work with.
Then you see the scope
Platforms, planned work, approvals, response boundaries, reporting, start date and price, all in writing.
Then agreement and onboarding
You approve the terms. We arrange proper account access and a simple way to share job material. No shared passwords needed.
Then I get on with it
Starting audit, strategy, approved content, scheduling and a straightforward monthly review.
How to judge my work: the job list is done, your business is clearer online, real projects are shown properly, and we check enquiry quality where evidence allows. I won't tell you that engagement is revenue.
A real SGS decision: I tested £28.85 of paid traffic for my own business. It brought 116 clicks, two enquiries and no sales. I stopped paying for clicks and worked on the enquiry journey instead. That is my own test, not a client result. See the figures and explanation.
See SGS work examples and evidence. I keep my own business experiments separate from client work, and label demonstrations clearly.
I'll tell you whether monthly management is worth paying for.
Show me what work you're doing and what you'd like more of. I'll recommend the smallest sensible package, with scope, responsibility, terms and cost written down before you commit.
Ridgeway is a fictional company. Licensed stock photos are only illustrative and are not examples of work completed by Ridgeway or an SGS client. This demonstration does not send a message, create an order or approve real content.
You run the jobs. I'll handle the agreed marketing.
What I need from you is simple: real project photos or raw footage, a few correct job details and approval before I publish. What you get back is a plan, a managed workflow and a clear monthly review.
